Appointment Policies
Safety/Sanitation Practices
Clients must come to their appointment with a face covering and wear it for the duration of the appointment if they are not vaccinated. If you are fully vaccinated, you have the option to omit the mask since I am already fully vaccinated. I will continue to provide hand sanitizer for client use, upon arrival.
Transfer Clients
Transfer clients must schedule a virtual consultation at least 24 hours before their appointment date. These appointments are completed in under 30 minutes. This can be booked online, or I can be contacted for this service via email. Booking and attending this consultation is free of charge, but no-call/no-shows will incur a $10 fee.
Condition of Hair
You must shampoo your hair within 24 hours of all appointments – including Consultation, Locking Session, Follow-Up, Retightenings, Repairs, and Grooming sessions. You should arrive at your appointment with your hair completely clean and free of all oils, conditioners, and moisturizers.
Lateness
There is a 10 minute grace period given, before an additional rate of $1/minute is applied to your retightening fee. If you are more than 30 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment.
Early Arrivals
If you arrive sooner than 5 minutes before your appointment time, please text me to see if I am okay with starting earlier; otherwise, please plan to wait in your car until your scheduled appointment time comes.
Cancellations
If you must cancel an appointment, a 24-hour notice is required. A $25 fee will be assessed for no-shows or late notices, payable in full before your next appointment. If something comes up suddenly and I have to cancel your appointment, I will contact you immediately to let you know and to reschedule. In this case I will apply a $25 credit towards your service on the new date.
Payments/Deposits
Clients may pay with Cashapp, Zelle, Applepay, or cash at the time of their scheduled appointment. Checks are not accepted. Clients must pay a 50% deposit of the quoted price, prior to the start of the locking establishment session (sisterlocks or interlocks) and the remainder of the balance is due at the end of the locking installation session. This is a non refundable deposit. It is transferable in the case of rescheduling, but not refundable.
Styling
All establishment clients will receive one free simple lock style at your request (2-4 braids/cornrows, a bun, etc.). Subsequent style services will incur the regular charge.
Premium Appointments
This is a special service for clients seeking my services urgently, and are interested in booking on a Tuesday, my off day. You must contact me beforehand via email, or text message for confirmation of my availability. There is a $50 surcharge for these appointments.
Children & Guests
Children (ages 12 and up) are welcome, if they are clients. Exceptions can only be made if consent has been given beforehand. If the child or guest is not being serviced, please make arrangements accordingly.
Loc Sizing
I advise against micro-sized Sisterlocks® for various reasons; and I neither install nor retighten them. There is a 10 inch length limit on Sisterlocks establishments, but there is no length limit on interlocks installations.
